Debt

I received a call today. It was a debt collector for a auto loan that I had back in 2000. I filed BK in 2001, but it has been so long, I can't remember if they were included in it. I was reading that they only have 6 years, to collect. What else can they do? It has been so long, it doesnt even show up on my credit report. Not sure what to do?
