verizon wireless question on cr

hi, i currently have verizon with no problems in payment or billing, however on my credit report it shows a chargeoff from verizon years ago (experian).. it does not say when it will fall off or when the last payment is rec'd... i disputed it and it came up valid... also dont you think verizon would have declined me for a phone
