What exactly are the CRA's 'verifying' ? Send the CRA a certified letter asking for the details of HOW they investigated and 'verified' the inaccurate entry when you have proof that it was settled. You are entitled to these details of their 'investigation' per the FCRA. If all they did was verify by your name, address, and SSN, that is NOT sufficient, but its the lazy way and they'll do that if you don't make them do otherwise.
