CA instead of OC on CR

OC account went past due Sept 97, with a payment made 3/98 but not caught up. The OC is not on my credit reports, instead a CA (Cavalry) is listed as "opened" 8/00. Experian & Equifax at least show 4/98 and 3/98 as DOLA and scheduled to drop off the reports by 5/05. TRW does not show a DOLA, so it might stay on until 2007.
Cavalry started calling in January, but will not provide any information by mail nor will they give their address. This is past the SOL.
Is there a way to get the CRAs to delete Cavalry? If they fail to reinsert the OC information I would not mind a bit.
