How long does foreclosure take?

My lender (PHH) sent me a letter today stating they have referred my account to an attorney to start FC procedings and to call them right away. Thankfully the house in question is now my rental house that I moved out of 6 months ago to build new. I have had a rough time with tenants and haven't been able to make a payment since October. How long does the FC process usually take and how much longer can I expect to keep the house. Not that it matters much at this point. Thanks.
