If they sue on a debt that is past the SOL, you simply enter a motion to dismiss based on expired statute of limitations -- and win. I would also speak to an attorney about countersuing them and their attorneys for bringing a frivolous lawsuit (one without merit). I doubt you'll have this problem. Unfortunately, there are enough people who don't know their rights that CAMCO doesn't put themselves in jeopardy chasing those who do.
