Since you know I'm not in Ohio, this post is for someone else who is. This person's husband has a judgment and personal liens against him. The wife is the sole owner of the home and its entire contents except for husbands clothing and a desk. The judgement creditor is agressive, and had them served 3 times in 4 months with a chattel levy. Each time they answered with the usual exemptions and notice that the property and household goods soley belong to the wife. She has notified the attorny 3 times with that information separate from the Answers to the court. Recently a 4th levy was served and the wife is understandably pissed and considers this to be harrassment - I don't blame her. How often is 'reasonable' for a JC to serve this kind of levy (or interrogatories or debtors examinations) before its considered harrassment or, perhaps, abuse of process ?? I told her to find a lawyer and see if there's anything that can be done to at least limit the number of times this JC can have these levy's served. Thanks :)
