Check your state staute of limitations before you do bankruptcy. You might be able to avoid it using sol. You don't both have to file bankrupt, you can go joint or individual. Your debts are not the responsibility of your wife unless you obtained the debt together. From what I have read, they can not come after her wages or assets to cover your debt. Go to the search page and enter bankruptcy and sol, and see what others have done in your situation. It seems time consuming, but worth it in the end if you can save yourself ten years with bk on your cr.
