SOL questions....

I'm a little confused about the SOL as opposed to the age of a debt......I just found this forum tonight and have been reading for several hours......I have about nine credit cards that I am currently delinquent on with the first delinquencies going back 3 years......but I have made some type of payment on all of them in the last 5-6 months...what date does the SOL run from? the date of first delinquency or the date of my last payment to the original credit card company? I hope this isn't too foolish a question as I need some serious help.....I can't possibly repay these cards in full as they run into the thousands......I live in Texas and would appreciate any help or advice.......
