MArtin you mentioned contract where it might read, "governed by the laws of New York." even if Im living in Texas, they could potentially sue me in New York. Right?

Im supposedly past my states Sol. but New York's is longer.. If I remain in my state why can't they bring suit under New York Law for a credit card debt? Can they? very confusing
