CRA wanting more info?

I sent a letter to CRA's trying to get inaccurate info removed from file. Equifax sent letter wanting more info as info I sent them does not match their records. I sent ss and name and address. (Midland entering different acct # and dates). I don't want to alert any more ca's and from what i have learned on this board the cra's sell info. What do I do now?
