Received offer letter 35% of balance from Allied Interstate. Says client will update all CRA with "correct and current status of account". By reading this forum, I called to ask if the balance could be sold to any other CA. Was told it was against the law to do so and that the account would be stated zero balance , paid in full. I asked why isn't this on the fax they sent me and they said it would after my funds clear. Also, should I ask for the 1099c? Any help would be greatly aprreciated.
