DO NOT EVER negotiate ANYTHING by phone. DO NOT EVER agree to direct withdrawal from your checking or savings account. Request a letter with the terms and agreement,SIGNED by an officer NOT a printed form. MAKE SURE it does not have you waive ANY of your rights, it doesn't really make ANY difference as to what your credit reports are going to say,you need to MAKE SURE you ARE going to get a 1099c for the unpaid balance. Understand this, if you have other debts within SOL, they will ALL file IMMEDIATELY against you as soon as they see this reported.
