I have a question. Several years ago I applied for a couple of credit cards in only my name and did not include my husband as a co-signer. At that time I put that I was a homemaker, so they knew I didnt have a job. My husbands pay was cut in half so we have gone into deep debt. My question, even though we did not get a joint account can they come after my husbands pay? We sold our home because we couldnt afford it on the new pay. Can they take our assets that are left since they are joint? We live in a community property state. Jointly we have a car (which we are still making payments on), another car and a travel trailer. Can they take those? I am really worried. I have tried to work something out with they by making monthly payments but they say they will only take a lump sum. It has already been turned over to a collection agency. They are also telling me they have an asset investagator on the case. Can they touch our bank account?(There isnt much there) Thank you
