The question of who now "owns" your accounts is not the problem.

As I said before, until you are past SOL you DO NOT want to deal with anybody.

I think you may be mistaken as to the status of your accounts, the CA's whom you are being contacted by are all bottom feeders wo normally do not have accouns that are within SOL.

Get your Experian report and see what the "removal dates" are on each of the ORIGINAL CREDITOR tradelines.

As to the new BK law, it has passed the House, and IF it passes the Senate and is signed into law, it MAY take effect within the next several months.

It will make it harder to file CH7, it will not, in my opinion, effect CH13 filings very much.
