I had something similar happen with a fleet credit card...when I booked airline tickets (2) for my husband's funeral, they cut my credit limit down to the balance...I was still about 4000.00 under the credit limit...had no negative history with them...I really did not use the card that much...they ran my credit and saw where I had gotten behind on another card...I still carry a MBNA and they have not done anything negative..other than raise my interest rates.. Poor people or people in need always get treated like crap!!! I assume the days of people wanting to kiss my butt to carry their card are over!!! Bank of America literally courted me to get me to take their card about 5 years ago...they would not spit on me if I were on fire now..lol
