The system is definitely slanted in the wrong direction and its NOT in favor of the consumer. These BS judgmental 'desicsions' being made are crap, these CC issuers are making assumptions based on some ridiculous formula. I mean, how can they say the debt load is too great for one's income when they haven't a CLUE what that income level is ?? Something stinks there.. big time.

They beg you to use credit so they can make money, then they slam you when you do.. SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY. Its a HUGE scam as far as I'm concerned. I quit using 99% of my credit cards almost 2 years ago. I have an AMEX (snotty people that they are) that I now use MAYBE once or twice a year if I go out of town and need to make a hotel or car reservation.. then I pay the hotel or car bill with my bank card. I also have a Lowes card I use once every 6 months for a small purchase just to keep it active (low balance). I also have 2 gas cards that I use infrequently, but they carry no balances. Other than that I don't use credit cards and I don't really miss them either. After being screwed by most of them when I was laid off last year, I gladly thumb my nose at these CC's - you CAN survive w/o them, contrary to their mass marketing.

The credit system has become Big Brother in too many ways and some of this crap has to stop, they're getting away with murder and the politicians are kissing butts all the way to their campaign warchests !!!
