Anyone hear of this place before? I just received a collection notice from them on an account they say was purchased by Plantinum Financial--Plantinum Financial also goes hand-in-hand with Wolpoff and Abramson--from the original creditor. W&A had this account previously and sent it to a local attorney. The attorney couldn't validate it and I actually ended up filing complaints against them. It's been almost a year since I've received anything on this account. Anyway, I'm in Ohio, last payment was July 1998, and the Ohio SOL is 4 years on CC's. There was no threat to sue, but should I just sent the WhyChat's SOL letter and be done with it? I was also wondering....how do you claim SOL on a debt without admitting that it's yours? I know it's SOL, but they haven't actually sent me anything that shows it's SOL. Without that, how else would I know it's SOL....I guess saying that I don't remember the account, but I know I haven't had an account with them in the last XX years would work. THanks!
