Sed a validation/dispute/cease and desist letter to any and all who are contacting you.

NEVER give your checking account information over the phone to a CA.

Change your checking account to another account #.

How old are these debts? When did your husband last pay the ORIGNAL CREDITORS.

Look at his credit report, see EXACTLY how the account you "settled" is showing.

Check his Experian report,it should show when the accounts are scheduled for removal,if you are in NY, subtract 1 year from that date. If any of those accounts are beyond that date, they are no longer legally collectible.
