I signed as a co-buyer because he was my husband, and I wanted to have better credit, we divorced and he kept the car. He stopped paying, and then the car was repo. Now I received a summon on my previous address. My ex-landlord was so kind to make a copy for me and call the person who went there to serve on me to tell him he could not find me. What should I do?. If they don't find me in 20 days, can they keep looking for me, or they dismiss the case. It is 10, 000 the amount due, for a car that I never used. Please help me!!! They say that they can take my wages, and properties.
