I am sorry for the harrassment you have received.It is unfortunate that in today's crazy world of credit collection those like yourself are penalized for trying to pay your bills. First of all, there is no CH 11 BK for individuals, that is for business BK. Second, do you have a spouse in active military service? Third, take a look at your credit reports, especially your Experian report,see how the MBNA account is being reported. There is NO WAY you can be "garnished" unless they sued and won a judgment against you. If you have your bills and statements from MBNA, look and see when the last time was that you paid to them on a statement bill that had NO "late" or "past due" fees added to the total. As to your "strategy" in clearing up your credit, I really can't say unless and until YOU get a current credit report and see how it is playing out on your report. If you prefer some private 1 to 1 counseling, rather than a public forum, I will be glad to respond to e-mails.
