Start looking for a good SECURED credit card. The terms on these things can be very sneaky re: payments, timing, etc. so be VERY careful and examine every term in detail. www.creditinfocenter.com has some recommendations for secured cards and you can check out www.bankrate.com as well.

Use the card for repeated small purchases and pay it off, in full, every single month.
