"Lawguy" who may or may not BE a lawyer, is very good at citing contract and business law cases, however, he fails to realize that consumer credit falls within the RISA statutes. I placed the appropriate statutes on the Ohio website for use in the SOL letter, or in answering a lawsuit.

If you go back in the forum pages over the last year and a half, you will see many posts referring to the Ohio SOL. And quite a few whom having used the references on my website were successful in stopping collection activity and also defending themselves in lawsuits.

There are many lawyers, like "lawguy" who are not aware that the laws are DIFFERENT for consumers, not only on a Federal level, but also in State laws.

The easiest way to be SURE about the 4 year SOL for credit cards,is to go to any collection agency organization website,(I use one on MY website) to see what THEY post for a SOL. They are in bsiness to inform THEIR clients (the CA's) about the correct law.
