NCO won't themselves, but MBNA will if the debt is only assigned. I have 2 MBNA accounts that are in NCO hands. They 'claim' to have purchased the debts in one letter, yet in all other communications it says 'assignee of MBNA', so I tread lightly there with MBNA still involved.

How old are the debts, when did you last pay Citi and MBNA. SC has a nice short SOL on credit cards.. 3 years (wish I still lived there for that !)

I wouldn't jump at 70%. If this their first offer, they'll likely go lower depending on how old the account is.

You don't want to TALK to ANY CA, they'll only turn the screws and put pressure on you to pay more than you can afford and they LIE ! Unless you've got an agreement, in writing, with signatures, no settlement is worth squat.
