No, this sounds like a normal account review-type inquiry, not a preemptive strike for a lawsuit. If the SOL in your state has already run out, and in most states it probably has, then they CAN'T sue you. If they were going to sue, it would be before your State's SOL ran out, NOT the reporting period.
