If you are dealing with an OC, and get a 1099c for the unpaid balance, than a restrctive endorsement or ANY other kind of agreement is fine.

However, when it comes to CA's-- yes of course a restrictive endorsement or a mickey mouse endorsement will work -- for THAT CA---Then, they resell the balance to ANOTHER CA who is not bound by ANY agreeent.

As to how to "settle" in time to clean your report-- I am not as well versed in "report cleaning" as others, however, I DO know, that any settlement with any CA cements that account to your report one way or another, as it is a SIGNAL to all the bottom feeders that you have $$ and need to clean your credit.

The first step you should take is to OPT OUT, this will prevent poisoning your report after you have gotten deletions.

Then go to creditboards.com, or creditnet.com and read read read all the ways to get your report cleaned up.
