If push comes to shove, take it to a Honda dealer service department and the body shop. Get them to give you estimates on getting the car to mint condition. Be sure to point out all the flaws, cosmeticly and mechanically...then have them give you a written estimate. That should devalue it to the point where it cannot be pursued in a judgement. Don't tell the dealer what you need the estimate for. My experience is that they get squeemish. Tell them you need it because you want to fix it up so that you have a real good nice looking car.
