I wonder how many people know that debt collectors use FAKE names? I had the misfortune of working for a CA several years ago (data entry, not as a collector thank god), and was shocked to learn that the collectors just made up names to work under. I was told it was "to protect them from harrassment". What a load! Ever since learning that, I've felt less intimidated by those bozos because I know I'm talking to a FAKE person... literally LOL
