Probably a good idea, also you MIGHT consider putting someone else, like one of your children or a TRUSTED family member on with you, and changing any bank accounts you might have jointly to YOUR name as primary, and your husband as an authorized signatory, but not on the account with you.

But, as I said, the biggest worry you might have, and the one where most Ca judgments are collected on, is wage garnishment.

Have you considered BK?

Even if you escape the current risk to your cars etc. at some point you may wish to buy a house,or trade cars and with a judgment on record (if they DO sue) you will have a hard time.
