When was the last on time payment you made to Fleet?

Send the lawyer a dispute/validation request, send it CRRR.

There is TOTAL homestead exemption in Florida, so your home is safe, there is a $1,500 exemption for your car, so if it is paid off and worth WHOLESALE (trade-in value - 20%) more than $1,500 plus a minimum of 50% of what you owe Fleet, then it is POSSIBLE that IF he got a judgment, it could POSSIBLY be taken.

However, an out of State collection agency is NOT allowed to file suit in Florida, and an out of State law firm is in violation of the FDCPA & Florida's consumer protection laws for even threatening such actions.

Calm down, take a deep breath, there is NO WAY your husband's pay can be touched. EVEN if it were HIS debt, which it isn't, Fl. excludes wage garnishment for head of household.
