CAMCO has been calling me about an alleged debt that was closed out in 1992 in Illinois. At first I got annoyed and mailed out the usual CAD letter (uncertified). So two months go by and they start calling again. Since I'm one of the humorous types, I've asked them about how the weather was in Rockford, what they did for hobbies, etc. I never gave them any information, but they kept calling (kind of humorous "we're going to ruin your credit. Yeah, right, while I've got two offers for a construction loan on a new house. NOT!). The calls stopped for a while, but yesterdady, yup some lady named Shirley called again. I started my usual banter, but she was getting mad at this point. My daughter was practicing her piano at this point, so I went over and asked how she was doing. Of course, I accidentally put the phone on the piano while she was playing chopsticks. They hung up.. So she calls again tonight. I'm trying to get my kids ready to go to the YMCA and she's saying she can't believe that I'm that bad of a parent, etc, etc, etc. And I told her again, that I don't care who she is, I don't give ANY information over the phone unless I know the person. She got really snippy again and hung up. Yes, the certified CAD letter is going out on Monday. Apparently the people at CAMCO do not enjoy the finer things in life, such as a little girl practicing her piano.
