Dear Scott;

Thanks for quick reply. Right, as with you, when served, first thing to do is assess patterns, history of CA and OC and immediately start filing FTC and State complaints as well as BBB.
I'm preaching to the choir, but for those perhaps visiting for first time, collection and court matters are time sensitive, one usually has twenty or thirty days to answer a suit and it's always a nice touch to run out the clock, keep these bugs waiting.
But right away, call or e-mail the FTC. When calling FTC, it's good to know they are very receptive to elderly, disabled, and others badly shaken by the CA scurfs. The FTC and other agencies also graciously accept follow-up mailings with more info after filing by phone or e-mail.
Just as you say, Scott, the agencies are like doctors and cops. They can only act on that which is presented to them. If people stay silent for whatever reason - none valid - then how are they to work to the benefit of all?
Will be looking further into the FLorida situation. Some of the CA's here admit their culpability, if you will, in their corporate filings. When a collection agency is a limited liability partnership whose general partner is in turn another LLP, they are in a sense admitting that they are well beyond the pale as to their legitimacy.
There are attorneys here who say as do you that although class actions may bump against dead ends, myriad individual suits may well be the way to go.
Will research this with interested parties and post findings. Thank you kindly for all, expecially sending such a warm welcome to the latest agent provocateur and hit 10K chargeoff saviors. As beloved friend and personal physician Hannibal Lecter, M.D., would say of those goons, "tedious, very tedious".

Best,
