Welcome to camco. Unfortunately for you, florida is protecting these scumsuckers. There is actually a class action suit going against camco right now in florida. Also, there is another attorney out of chicago who is specifically looking for people who have had these debts reaged and placed back on your credit report. Both will take your case on contingency which means you never pay a dime(just a % of what you win). I urge you to call one of them.

The Tampa attorney who filed the class-action is
Jonathan Alpert. He's reachable at 813 223-4131

This is the pasted email from the other attorney. Keep in mind he will file for any state and not just the ones listed.
We have filed class actions against CAMCO on behalf of residents of TX, MD, CA and IL. The basic allegation is that they represent that people whose debts are beyond the statute of limitations will be held legally responsible for them and that they will update the credit reports of persons whose debts are more than 7 years old. If persons from those or other states want to file similar claims, let us know.

Finally, you MUST make your complaints or nothing will ever stop these scumbags. Make them at bbb.com, ftc, gov, and the attorney general for florida, illinois, and delaware. If you do nothing then nothing will get done.
