Dear Why Chat: I live in the State of GA. If a collection agency wanted to garnish me thru a judgment, does the State of GA allow this. It's not happened yet, but before I get feisty with them, I need to know the worst case scenario. It's for a CCB chargoff that was about $1,000 but with all their late fees, over the limits, and 29.99% interest, they now want $3,004. I have just validated and am awaiting the attorney collection agency's response. Thanks.
