Have you demanded validation of the collection agency ? Have you made a 'procedural request' to the credit bureaus to find out exactly HOW they are verifying ?? You have a right to demand this. If the CA can't validate, then they can't 'verify' to the CRA's either, and the entries should be removed as inaccurate. If the CA has re-aged, and you have proof positive that it has been re-aged, its time to get tough with the CRA to make them correct the error. Re-aging is a serious violation of the FCRA and you can sue the CRA's AND the CA for doing so !
