You have NO need to file BK.

The car, (you are correct $1,000.) 'exemption is MORE than enough, especially since it is a "rebuilt" AND you can claim additionaly that it is equipped for wheel chair use, so it ca be considered as "health care" equipped.

There is NO WAY anybody in their right mind is going to take a look at your credit report, check the car title (with the rebuilt classification) and bother to sue you.

Even if they DID file suit, and even if you did not bother to fight it in Court, all you need to do is enter an exemption in the record for your car as having under $1,000 value and used for transportation of your father's health equipment.

Save your $$ you are "judgment proof"
