Thanks a lot,
Per you note, FL exemption is $1,500, but I found $1,000 in a website that I don'r remember now. I tried to find the value of my car in Kelley Blue Book, but I couldn't because it is a rebuilt tilte. May be this fact can lower the price more and I can keep it. (Honda Accord LX 4doors Sedan '99 /40k miles)
It doesn't have air bags, but everything else is in good conditions (interior, exterior and mechanic)
I was wondering if I could do bk and keep this car. I bought it right after my father came out of the hospital after a brain surgery. I needed a car where I could fit a walker in the back sit, and a wheelchair with special size in the trunk. He still has another brain aneurysm, and he won't be able to walk without help anymore.
Do you think I could file a petition to exempt my car from bk and keep it?. Or it depends of the Chapter of bk that I will apply for? I've heard that when you file for chapter 7, it is a fresh start, and usually they don't take your assets.
I have to look for an atty, but I don't have the money right now, I am trying to find out everything that I can before I go, so I can give them options.
