Take your vehicle to a dealer. Have them assess the the condition of the car. The body shop does a wonderful job of giving an estimate on everything from scratches to stains on the seats...
My ex hjad a PU truck that had an NADA value of $5300. Body shop estimates alone came in at an amount that brought it down to "value" to $900!
Blue book and NADA has an adjustment for mileage and age, but there are added costs to make the vehicle ready for sale...as if to put it on the dealer lot. These added "costs" are subtracted from the books adjusted value...and wa - la! worthless vehicle :-)
