If you did not sign on the card, if you have no legal authority over her affairs(like a power of attorney or guardianship) then there is no way you can be held responsible.If the cc companies require or demand her current address, have her send a cease and desist letter CRRR with copies to the administrator of the assisted living facility for their records.Although a cease and desist is normally only binding in the case of 3rd party CA's you can refer to your State's statutes on harrassment of senior citizens and the disabled in the letter.

If she passes away, and there is a probated estate, the cc companies can make a claim against her estate.If she has no estate, and that time comes, a letter from whomever is handling her affairs to the cc companies that the estate is insolvent would do it.
