A judgement was filed against me in Florida in 1987, apparently as a cosignor.
I've been living overseas since then. Recently I inherited a piece of property in Florida and have a buyer for it.
Now the title agency discovered the judgement and requests that I pay it off.
I've yet to talk to the creditor GMAC and would like to negotiate a payoff without paying 16 years of interest.
Does anyone have experience in this?
